Quick.Link 1.5

A not small, but also not big, update.

A significantly smaller project of mine, Quick Link, is a YOURLS (Your Own URL Shortener) client that connects to your server to allow simple, private, and personal short links. This update brings some useful features, as well as some quality-of-life improvements.

The Big Stuff

Without the question, the biggest (and best) feature coming to Quick Link 1.5 are Endpoint Profiles. Profiles allow you to add more than one YOURLS server and easily switch between them. Links are clearly marked by which endpoint they reference.

Another major update/addition are QR code and QR code generation -- entirely free. Always. Link Collections are also introduced, adding further organization and productivity. Quick Link has a number of preset Collections, but you can add however many you want.

The Less Big Stuff

Other changes this update include iOS 26 support and the removal of Quick Link+ and alternate app icons. I really want to add back the alternate icons, but we'll see how iOS 26 reports handling it. Lastly, Quick Link should now be better regarding connecting to servers, with additional checks to ensure all variations/installs can be supported. Oh, and bugs -- can't forget about the bugs.

The Future

I'm not sure what Quick Link's future looks like, at the moment. The truth is, Bit Buddy has a much more steady download stream (about 9-10 a day, so I'm not actually sure how good that is), and there are other projects I want to work on. We'll see how this update fares and go from there, I suppose.

Quick Link is available for free on the Apple App Store.
