Bit Buddy 3.0.1

Small improvements and behind-the-scenes stuff.

It's been a little over a month since Bit Buddy 3 was released to the world, and since it has, the app has seen respectable growth. With this minor update, Bit Buddy becomes more stable and polished.

The "Big" Stuff

While this update doesn't have the flashy additions like Bit Buddy 3 did, it does contain many updates that provide substantial benefits and peace of mind.

This update brings useful changes to how Bit Buddy (AI) responds to your queries and handles your data. Bit Buddy AI is now more reliable and is better equipped to handle the data coming at it from Bit Buddy (app). Your information/analysis is also further anonymized to prevent any identifiable information from being sent to the Cloud AI.

One of the highlight features of the Bit Buddy 2 era, App Gradients, has been retired in favor of App Tint. Featuring a gorgeous new Tint Gallery, Bit Buddy can now be customized in a more polished way. Icons and gradients are still there, but they've been reworked and gracefully moved further into the background. Dark mode still looks incredible, though!

The Rest

Some of the previously added device options, like network-attached storage and drones, have been updated to include proper SVG icons. When required, credit for the image is given in the Information section, found within Settings.

A critical bug found when saving a device was found, and effectively squashed. The bug, when alive, would cause newly saved devices to not sync properly with iCloud, causing the device to magically disappear. Another bug resulted in device lists appearing empty for a split second before properly downloading the devices, which has also been removed.

That's it. Seriously.

The last time Bit Buddy received a minor update like this was back when Version 1.1.1 was released, but this one feels a smidge more substantial than that one did. As with every update, Bit Buddy is now more complete and polished than ever.

Bit Buddy is available for free on the Apple App Store. Some features require Bit Buddy Pro - learn more.
