It's been a long time since the last update for Moneyminder. Some of that is fear about releasing such a personal app, but most of it is fear about releasing the wrong kind of app. Moneyminder, for the past two years, has been a savings goal tracker. But that direction never truly felt right, and with more features being added, it felt like everything was working against each other. So things are changing.
The new Moneyminder
When Moneyminder was first dreamt up, the idea was always to be an expense tracker. So that's what the new Moneyminder is going to be. Instead of creating savings goals that you can contribute to, you now will log expenses into an ever-evolving expense list. You know, like an expense/budgeting app should be.
What this means
This does mean that Moneyminder will be a little further off. Even further then it already is. Sorry. But things are moving fast, and we're already testing a version of the app with the core expense tracking logic implemented.
Updated Beta invitations will be sent in the coming weeks (hopefully), with a sprint towards a full release, with any luck, in May or June. Time will tell.
Until next time,
Nick out.
