Just before the release of Bit Buddy 3, I published a blog article detailing the changes that were published to the One Thirteen website. In the article I talked about how the new design allowed for future pages to be made and future apps to be made and added in a way that was simple and easy. Oh, how naive I was.
Growing Pains
The original redesign did not go as well as I was expecting. The initial redesign looked okay, but it wound up being incredibly cumbersome to make changes to the pages and other areas. So I shifted to Framer. Or I should say, back to Framer.
Things were going pretty well in the redesign process, but as I got further along I started to realize that the price was going be too much, with the biggest factor being the CMS limit. So, on a whim I gave the task of redesigning the main site to Claude, and asked it to replicate my Framer design. I gave it a few extra reference websites to check and I also published my Framer demo, that way it was able to go to the website and inspect it. After a few hours of work, it came up with the current, live, One Thirteen website, which aside from a few font changes and layout considerations, is exactly like my Framer redesign.
Framer design.
Custom design.
No More Redesigns
Moving forward, the One Thirteen website will retain a similar design, with subtle changes and layout tweaks made in favor of sweeping changes. I think this design deserves a chance to breath and impress some people before anything drastic happens.
The redesign is currently live, if you're interested in checking it out.
Nick out.
